. I am made up of jealousy and arrogance
and every sinful thing you could think of; but
mostly of unattainable dreams.

. They are like crashing waves and accumulating sand,
a pain that draws up and aches ceaselessly. My courage is
concealed by the secrets my heart hides from you.

. It is impossible to stay with you, but
your melodies and harmonies fill up the cracks
and gaps in the sidewalk and in my soul - for the time being.

. Memories of murmuring in the grass with our heads in our arms
filter through my head as you smile that crooked smile at me.
"Whats your biggest dream?"
Such a cliche response, "To stay with you forever."
I laughed at the unlikeliness of it.
"You know, the most unattainable dreams are the best,"
You turned with a serious look in your eyes, "They keep you striving 'till the end."

. Things don't seem so unattainable now.
